As a fourth-year Ph.D. student, I am currently studying how users/groups use geographic information systems (GIS) for collaborative information sharing, search, and decision-making. My dissertation focuses on the use of geo-visualization tools, especially digital maps, in collaborative situations. I have been working on multiple related research projects and my research interests broadly lie in the fields of computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW), human-computer interaction (HCI), geographic information systems (GIS) and information retrieval (IR).
The existance of this website has two reasons. First, it emerged from my increasing awareness of the importance of “personal branding” in today’s digital economy. Hence, it serves as a platform to share what I have done in my education, research and other activities. Second, it help me record and reflect upon current accomplishments and goals for the future.
